Hi, I’m Hilaire

As a Raleigh native, I am a proud graduate of Elon University and hold honors from the Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellows Program and a BA in Communications. I have spent over 16 years working and running a seven figure, debt free, family business within the luxury home industry.

Growing up I was a frequent visitor at my mother’s interior design firm and quickly learned the ins-and-outs of the business and professionally joined her in 2008. Over the years, I led and produced multi-large scale installations, oversaw the financial health of the business, vetted new operational systems, implemented brand strategies and have even taken the trash out a few times. If there is one thing I know for sure - I am a go getter!

I love a mean chili, a good paint brush, soul music, the smell of ripe peaches, dance parties in the kitchen, finding harmony in nature, and above all I gain comfort in holding a tiny hand.

An entrepreneurial spirit and curious explorer mindset lead me to launch Four E & Company (named after my four children whose names all start with the letter E). I wrestled with the idea of taking over my mother's interior design business or completely do something else. During this time I set out to reset my personal priorities of what I wanted out of life. Four E & Company was birthed out of my own deep desire to witness entrepreneurs realize their own potential when their purpose, heart and work are in harmony with each other.
